My name is Phil Johnson and I am an experienced Business Founder, Investor, CEO and CIO. I am highly entrepreneurial, have a great sense of humour, a relaxed approach and I really think outside the square. Most importantly I have the kind of detailed “been there, seen that, done it before” focus that is required to operate and energise a business, or to deliver a business and / or technology change strategy.

I only take a limited amount of projects on and I “method consult”, effectively immersing myself in your business to understand what you are facing. I can help you:

Achievements and Outcomes
As an Investor and Entrepreneur:
| + | I founded and operated for 27 years a large IT Services and private Cloud Company (CommArc) (successfully exited) |
| + | I successfully merged our software development company (Alchemy Group) into a much larger software business (Stratos Technology Partners). I now serve as a Director of Stratos, and I am co-developing our own tech accelerator business. |
| + | I co-founded and am a Director of a successful legal services software company (OneLaw) with over 200 NZ law firms now using this platform. This business is going from strength to strength and we hope to take it international at some stage. |
| + | I co-invested in a struggling food exporter NZ Apple Products, this is now a successful international business |
| + | I co-invested in Bulldog Natural Skincare an international disruptive skincare startup (successfully exited) |
| + | I co-invested in, and am the CEO of, Alchemy Group. A successful software engineering business with many innovative and successful development projects (successfully exited) |
| + | I have recently co-invested in Road Guru. An innovative B2B startup that connects private tour guides guides to the tourism industry. |

Projects and Investments
Fees
I don’t have a strict menu of fees. I discuss and understand your business / technology issues, identify if my skills can be of real value and introduce you to people who can vouch for me. If that looks good we can jointly make a decision around engagement. I am well versed on Karma and depending on your circumstances not all engagements carry fees. I am fiercely loyal to my clients and I would never put a client in a position where my integrity or value is of question. It really is a reputation thing!
